Huong Viet Restaurant | Our Story
A mom's kitchen goes community table
Huong Viet grew from one mother's determination to feed her family — and then her whole neighborhood. A Garden Grove kitchen in 2020 became a welcoming dine-in table in the heart of Little Saigon.
Where it started: 5W Food Processing
In 2020, founder Sherry Nguyen — a mother of five — launched 5W Food Processing in Garden Grove, named for her five kids. Her mission: produce affordable, ready-to-eat Vietnamese food for busy families.
From factory to neighborhood table
5W grew into a to-go spot built around party trays for the community. In summer 2024, Sherry opened Huong Viet on Westminster Avenue — bringing dine-in service and a full Vietnamese menu.
Authentic Vietnamese food at your table
Huong Viet sits along one of the most vibrant Vietnamese-American dining corridors in the country. Phở, hủ tiếu, bánh mì, and more — rooted in tradition and priced so everyone can return often.
Feeding gatherings, big and small
Party trays and catering have been part of this story from the start — because a good meal is always better shared.
